Born in Vancouver British Columbia, Leah Benetti grew up in the farmlands and suburbs of the Fraser Valley and Vancouver Island. After completing a BFA in photography in 2005 from the Emily Carr Institute Leah has continued to photograph and document the bizarreness of nature and humanity from her downtown east side studio. Her work has been exhibited and published internationally, having shown alongside the Group of Seven and won the curatorial acclaim of Cindy Sherman, and Jen Bekman among others. Currently she is engaged in extended travel throughout North America documenting and archiving the cities and towns of the United States in a never ending road trip.
